St. Michaels--everyone goes there-You'll want to spend two days. For a treat, go to the elegant "Inn at Perry Cabin restaurant--reservations and sharp casual clothes req.) Visit the waterfront museum with light house, history of Bay, boats--many, many exhibits.

Spend the morning, try the bloody Mary bar and head for Wye Island, just a few miles away. Cruise around the Island (right side-a low bridge prevents circumnavigation)-Anchor in any of small, quiet, pastoral coves for night.

Sail to Veras--around the corner from Solomons. Lovely marina in wooded setting with panaramic views from the deck dining room of the restaurant. Pool and excellent Restaurant-suggest reservation on weekends.

Sail the 6 miles or so to Solomons. Arrange dockage at Solomons Yachting center, or Zanheisers (or anchor out and use water taxi) Lots of shops and restaurants within wakling.

If under 5.5' draft, go through narrows and stop at Narrows Restaurant for lunch. Exiting, left, sail to Dunn's Cove for a quiet anchorage and beautiful sunset view. Deeper draft? Just sail around the point and hang a left to Dunn's cove.

Sail to Galesville-Stop in at Thursdays and use their free dock. Go out to anchor for the night-or go to the Rhode River and anchor behind a quiet little Island-only about 5 mi. away

Rhode River for lunch--kids can swim or take dinghy to little sand island, then proceed up South River to Liberty Marina for free dockage if you go to Yellow Fin Restaurant-a short walk. Or alternatively, go to Kentmorr for free dockage at LGC facility and crab dinner at Kentmorr Rest.

Sail over to everyone's favorite crab restaurant--Cantler's! You can also anchor in Whitehall bay--where the southerly breeze keeps you cool, but the sand bar blocks the waves--just outside the river entrance.
