The Basic Keelboat (101) class is a two (2) day class where students learn the fundamentals of sailing, wind effects, sail handling, rigging, knots, safety, man overboard, Rules of the road, and the components of a sail boat. At the end of the class, the student is awarded an ASA 101 certificate after the successful completion of skilling skills and a multiple question written test. The 101 class can also be taken in combination with our Basic Coastal Cruising (103) and Bareboat Chartering (104) classes.
