Let’s Go Cruising offers numerous opportunities for people to further develop their sailing and powerboat skills for the first time sailor to the seasoned veteran using the internationally recognized, ASA program. Learn the difference between a sheet and a halyard, a bowthruster and a bowline, all while at the helm of one of the most beautiful boats on the bay. Review anchoring techniques as you stop mid-day for lunch and swimming, master docking at a fine marina for dinner and dancing, and maybe even touch on celestial navigation as you stargaze from your boat, moored outside historic Annapolis. The emphasis is on relaxation, but if you're serious about sailing and chartering on your own some day, these skills will be necessary. The Chesapeake Bay is one of the friendliest bodies of water on which to learn new sailing skills. Due to its benign nature and protection from the ocean the bay can be an excellent stepping stone to other destinations. Learn to sail through us and we can prepare you to sail around the world!
Note: You do have other choices. American Sailing was deverloped as a racers program. NauticEd offers another complicated, un-necessary layer--you still need to get sailing time and certification. The best certification in the world, for cruisers from beginning to advanced is the ASA program and we're a certified ASA facility. Once you get ASA certified, your certification is recognized by more organizations around the world than any other.
